New Agent in Training

Say hello to the newest addition at Doerner Investigations. Colt is a few months old, Malinois. Colt will be learning how to detect scents in order to become a drug detection dog. Dogs smell things very different then humans. A great example is if you have a stew on the stove the house smells yummy, and the smell of stew fills the air. Dogs smell every ingredient in that stew. The carrots, celery, onions, beef, they smell everything separate.

Colt will be trained to detect scents of various commonly hidden drugs - heroine, marijuana, commonly abused prescription pills, cocaine, methamphetamines, and gun powder. If Colt proves himself up to the challenge, he'll be available to search Los Angeles, Thousand Oaks, Malibu, Santa Barbara and more as a K9 detective!

Colt will be learning lots of new things over the next year. We will update you on his progress.

The Doerner Private Investigation team has the experience, expertise and discretion needed to get the job done.
